Shopclues in talks with Temasek & Steadview Capital for investment purpose

BANGALORE: Online marketplace Shopclues is in talks with investors to raise Rs450-600 crore ($75-100 million), according to two people close to the discussions.

The three-year-old company has so far raised over Rs90 crore (about $15 million) from investors including Helion Venture Partners and Nexus Venture Partners.

"The company is in talks with a few Asian private equity funds and sovereign wealth funds who already have invested in Indian ecommerce firms before," said one o .. said one of the persons quoted earlier. "Shopclues aims at raising between $75 million and $100 million (Rs450 to 600 crore) in this round."

Singapore government's invest ment arm Temasek and Hong Kong-based hedge fund Steadview Capital are among the investors the company is negotiating with, the other person said.
